Special Projects
- Jerair Nishanian Foundation was one of the six major donors for the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide which took place in Washington D.C. in May 2015. “JNF” has also funded several special project:
- Remodeling and construction of the Main Altar of Saint Mary Armenian Apostolic Church, Washington DC.;
- Remodeling and construction of buildings in Gavar State University;
- Sponsored and funded the translation and publication of the following books:
a. The translation of the book from Turkish into English authored by Dr. Taner Akcam, titled “The Young Turks’ Crime Against Humanity” - The Armenian Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing in the Ottoman Empire
b. The translation and the publication of Dr. Tanner Akcam’s book “The Young Turks’ Crime Against Humanity” - The Armenian Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing in the Ottoman Empire into Eastern Armenian language in Armenia.
c. Printing of a children’s book titled “Yes Hay Em” authored by Mrs. Anoush Nakashian.
d. The publication of a history textbook, “History of the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire” from the point of view of the Armenians, authored by several Armenian scholars, to be used as a text book by the university students in Armenia.
e. The Dreams & Miracles published in Armenia and distributed among solders in Armenia.
f. The publication of a second textbook, “Contemporary History of Literature” summarizing the Turkish literature as it pertains to the Armenian Genocide. (currently in production).
g. The translation of the book from Turkish language into English and also from Turkish into Armenian authored by Dr. Taner Akcam, “Forced Islamization of the Armenians” (currently in production).
